As a result, members of the Wisconsin center district, which operates the Delta center, the Milwaukee theater and the U.S cellular arena, voted unanimously on Wednesday to change its name to the Wisconsin center unless a new partner is found. District officials say they are in discussions with a variety of companies for sponsorship opportunities, but for all practical purposes, the convention center will switch to the Wisconsin Center on july 1. in September 2012, Delta announced it had assumed a one-year agreement with the Wisconsin Center District for the naming rights to the Delta center. The airline had assumed the last year of the contract, at a cost of $500,00  with frontier airlines through june 30

The culture of Delta Airlines will survive the carrier's merger with Northwest Airlines Corp. Delta CEO Richard Anderson told a throng of Atlanta business executives Wednesday. The U.S Department of justice gave its ok to the merger on wednesday. Anderson, the speaker at a commerce club luncheon, said that as the surviving entity in the multi- billion dollar mega-merger, Atlanta-based Delta will hold true to its reputation as a company committed to its employees. Its commitment is evident, Anderson said, in its decision to offer employees profit sharing and its emphasis customer service. Anderson said the company is also dedicated to providing the best compensation possible. Some changes will be seen soon, while others will be more deliberate. it will take from two to three years to integrate Delta and Northwest, which will initially be a Delta subsidiary. Executives have been planning everything from the integration of airline systems and even airport footprints for months
